Ft. Monmouth drama..

right after CCBT, needless to say, discipline and enforcement of "standards" was lacking. however, its important to know that USMAPS is not supposed to be like plebe year. but, we're quickly learning
that peer leadership is not only the hardest kind, but also produces the most amount of blinded, power hungry megalomaniacs.

within the past few weeks, due to a specific weekend when certain events happened, we transitioned from being regular USMAPS, to being put on lock-down and various other forms of redundancy, incompetence and overall lack of judgement.

now the question arises..is it wrong that we feel we need to be in a more relaxed atmosphere or are we just displacing our anger and cynicism on our leadership? truth is, theres no way to quantify or pass judgement on the issue, but i believe it is at a 50% divide. half of our concious is saying "fuck, this is USMAPS, not plebe year" and the other half is complaining saying "fuck, USMAPS is just a clusterfuck of undisciplined people with no sense of teamwork."

right now, we are at a crossroad. we'll see what happens within the next few weeks..

after more than a year of hiatus...

what have you done during that time? i lost friends, made friends, re-built bridges that i burned, got in trouble, graduated high school, lived at ft. monmouth, shot a rifle, threw a grenade and joined (and committed to) a cross country team.

i guess ill explain all (read: some) of those things in the future, but for now, i'm just taking heed of where i am, who i'm becoming and where i'm going. , it all sounds cliche, doesn't it? but i really am sticking with this whole writing-out-my-thoughts thing. its comforting and provides an outlet like no other.

i probably won't share this blog with anyone, but who knows. for now, it'll just be for me.
